This started as an experiment using sheet-music software. There was a method to the madness, but it's more than I can explain. The audio file that the software output was then imported into traditional waveform-editing software, where I tooled around with it a little bit to get the final piece.
It is kind of dark and scary, hence the title.
(I once got an email from an Italian composer saying that this track was a work of genius. I thanked him, but didn't tell him how it came to be, because I didn't want him to think he'd overblown things and get embarrassed.
It really was a simple piece to make, but how could i ever tell him that after he gave me such praise? It was a fun experiment, but not a masterwork of a superior mind or anything. I actually felt kind of bad and embarrassed, and a bit fraudulent, but I appreciated the compliment, nonetheless.)
